Brother Printers and Google Cloud Print

This is a cheatsheet to setup the Brother MFC-L27xxx printer with Google Cloud Print. These instructions are based on this Brother document.

Here are the setup steps:

  • Browse to http://<printer ip>
  • Click the Network tab
  • Choose Protocol from the left side bar
  • Make sure Google Cloud Print is selected
  • Go to Advanced Settings
  • Make any changes and choose Register
  • Click Google
  • Click Finish Printer Registration

You should then be able to go to the Google Cloud Print manager and see your printer.

Un-register & Re-register

If you still don't see your device or you're having problems, you can un-register and then follow the steps again:

  • Browse to http://<printer ip>
  • Click the Network tab
  • Choose Protocol from the left side bar
  • Make sure Google Cloud Print is selected
  • Go to Advanced Settings
  • Click the Unregister this device option and then Submit
