The XBMC Alaska Skin is one of the more popular skins but it is not available in the standard add-on directory. Here's how to install it for your XBMC.

There's an XBMC forum for discussion of the Alaska Skin and there's also the WIP Skins forum for active skin development. As of this writing in October 2013, this discussion on the work in progress forum for Alaska HD includes a link to the latest release which I'm going to install here.

Here are the steps to install the Alaska HD skin:

- Download the zip file from here to your XBMC system
- Go to the XBMC System menu and select Add-ons.
- Choose the Install from zip file and select the downloaded zip
- To complete the installation, select System > Add-ons > Get Add-ons > Alaska HD > Install.
- Finally, select the Alaska HD skin from the Settings > Appearance menu item.

You should now have the Alaska HD Skin installed.
